Club membership should be regarded as an integral part of MR2 ownership.  In addition to the numerous clubs and organisations dedicated to Toyota and/or the MR2, there are two main clubs which offer meetings and events, financial discounts, insurance schemes, and pools of knowledge.  To make your MR2 ownership as enjoyable as possible, you should consider joining at least one of the clubs below.

International MR2 Owners Club

Originating in the USA, the UK branch of IMOC (referred to as IMOC-UK) is primarily focused on the internet -- it has its own extensive web-site incorporating a Q&A forum.  In addition to this, events across the UK present members with excellent opportunities to meet-up with one another and approved affiliates offer discounts off products and services.

The MR2 Drivers' Club

Abbreviated to MR2DC, this is a more orthodox club requiring a yearly subscription but the cost of membership can usually be returned by the savings on parts from Toyota or motor insurance schemes.  Participating Toyota dealerships generally offer 10% discount on parts (sometimes 15% on service parts) whilst insuring your car via a club scheme can generally be cheaper than other brokers, or at least secure the true value of your car and modifications.
