Cleaning your car's interior is as
important as its exterior, else over a period of time the cabin will look
scruffy given the presence of dust, scuff marks, stones, and other dirt.
To start off, give the interior a good clean with a vacuum cleaner, paying
particular attention to the seats, carpet, and those nooks and crannies.
If the plastic trim is also very dusty then tend to that as well.
With loose surface dirt removed it's time to
remove dirt and grime which you can't see, or which is proving stubborn to
shift. Simoniz Cockpit Cleaner is an active foam cleaner which
leaves no shine but a pleasant fragrance. As well as also being
suitable for seats and other cloth, it does an excellent job of lifting dirt.
To use, simply spray on and wait for the cleaner to do its thing -- then wipe
with a cloth, applying pressure if necessary.
Equally effective is
Auto Glym Hi-Foam Interior Shampoo
which produces identical results.

Like on the outside, cleaning glass can be a
pain but excellent results are achievable given a bit of effort. Mr Muscle Window
& Glass Cleaner is all that needs to be used. I've tried Turtle
Wax ClearVue Glass Clean but the results were poor. After a number of
uses, with an array of cloths, greasy streaks always got left behind.

If you find your car is prone to fogging or
misting up on damp days then
Sopus
Rain-X Anti-fog is an additional solution
you could use... but I think it's a ghastly product and won't be using it ever
again. It's frustrating to apply and leaves
swirls which are near impossible to remove. If that wasn't bad enough, it
seems to encourage dirt to build up quicker than if you hadn't used it.
And just to add insult to injury, removing it altogether is near-impossible
without using a glass cutting solution.
